Fear and Loathing in Upstate NewYork

I am a snow lover. I love the big fat white snow, and the blowing little snow that is so thick that you can't see far in any direction. I love the silence, and I love the cold, and I love the brilliance of the stars late at night after a snowstorm has just ended. I love feeling the power of mother nature, and I love the feeling of solitude that come as a result of such power.

I do not, however, love the shit that we are getting today. It is sleeting/snowing/freezing raining, and it SUCKS. I was in a pretty significant traffic accident in this same type of weather, and so now, whenever we have this, I am literally so afraid while I am driving that I shake, and I really have to work hard to stay calm... Its very difficult to feel like that doing something that is so crucial to feeling free. It is especially difficult because I know that my fear is entirely irrational, and unwarranted, but I can't seem to get over it. It going to take time, and the more shitty weather we get the less confident I feel...

Maybe I'll move to the tropics where the worst thing you have to worry about is hurricanes...
