A Case of the Mondays

I had one of those mornings this morning... The one where you hit the snooze 5 times before draaaaagging yourself out of bed and to the coffee pot... where just getting in the shower requires titanic effort... The kind of morning where you would be SO happy to just be able to call in sick and go back to bed for another few hours. It seems like this is more common, at least for me, on Mondays. I always find myself thinking, starting around mid afternoon on Sunday, "I don't want to go to work tomorrow!!" My inner voice annoys even me then, because it is so whiny. I think we need some kind of incentive to go to work on Mondays... I was thinking more along the lines of a free cup of coffee (that would get ME here!) but I think my friend Jo hit it right... They should bribe us with a favorite breakfast! Here at Lockheed, that would undoubtedly be the amazing blueberry pancakes they serve on Thursdays (who needs a pick me up on a regular old THURSDAY?!??). If you happen to be lucky and work near a great diner, maybe you could get that perfect, greasy, diner-style breakfast that just smells like weekend. So even though you know that you have 83674574 stupid, boring, tedious thing to do on a Monday morning, its all good, because you are getting an awesome FREE breakfast!

I think the idea has merit... I ever start my own company, this will be one of my core values.
