Strange but interesting concept

I just had a conversation with a weird friend I have at work... You know who I mean; that guy/girl who always says borderline outrageous things, and you can never tell if they are trying to be funny and failing, or if they are simply crazy... Well, my friend seems to be just crazy. She is quite religious, but not in the zealot, "there is no other religion than mine" kind of way, but rather the loving, accepting, almost unnervingly empathetic way. She (for all appearances) understands and loves ALL of the people we work with, from the angry political harpies to the rather incompetent but friendly program managers, and everyone in between. On one level, you almost feel like she is totally phony, but on the other hand, you can't help but wonder, "If she really is that nice, what the hell is wrong with me??" So you understand the context now...



So we were standing in the hallway waiting for a meeting to start and she got talking about the weather (it is really windy today), which led to hurricanes, and how this season has been reasonably mild, blah blah blah, and then it happened. She pulled me in closer the her face by the shoulder and whispers, "I know why! Its because God loves Obama!" Well, there you go folks. He really is the solution to all our problems...
