The reasons why I love you

I think we all know that weddings, no matter how connected to or distant from the marrying couple you happen to be, have a distinct effect on your own relationship.  They cast a rosy glow on each and everything that binds you to the person that you love, and the emotions that you feel are magnified one hundred-fold.  One of my best friends got married this past weekend, to the man of her dreams, and it was a wonderful, beautifully unique wedding.  It was the first time that I had ever felt the magic of a wedding from the inside of a committed relationship, and the effect was incredibly strong...  I got to thinking about the things that make me feel the way that I do about this man, and why it seems like a feeling that will be with me always.  So here is a little bit of the list I started writing while he was sleeping...

The Reasons Why I Love You:

You are a good man
You never make me feel inferior
You sexy smile makes every aspect of even the worst of days seem better
When you hug me, you hold me so close that I can barely move
You kiss me long and hard even when people are watching
You let me be crazy, without ever making me feel guilty, ridiculous, or irresponsible
We are STILL in the honeymoon phase...  I'm starting to think we always will be
You put after-sun lotion on my sunburned skin whenever I need it
You keep me comfortable, safe, and warm every night
You keep me grounded
You love my silly excitement over even the smallest things
You tell me that I am beautiful when I most need to hear it, but also when I don't
You are incredibly generous
You accept my family for exactly what we are, and you really understand what that means
You drive, even when you don't want to, so that I don't have to
You let me cook anything I want, and always love it, even when you don't
You clean the bathroom
Your hands are always warm
You are willing to take the time to see the world, to see me, to see everything
You share your life with me
You love me.
