In Boston today for my birthday weekend!! I feel like there should be some kind of perspective that comes from removing oneself from the usual surroundings, but, as always seems to be the case with Chryssy, I feel so totally at home in her home, I hardly feel like I am away... Except for the 6 hour drive, of course... One of the things that always strikes me close to home when I come to visit is how similar our lives really are, even though we are miles and worlds apart these days. Maybe there is a level of similarity between people that brings out friendship like this... Whatever the reason, I always feel rejuvenated after a visit with my favorite human tornado, even if I leave feeling totally exhausted. Its just like when we were in college... We would congratulate ourselves on getting to bed with time to sleep for 5 or 6 hours, and then spend half of those hours laying awake talking. Somehow, we never felt that sleep was more important, and we still don't.
I am content today. Rain on the beach and the smell of the ocean are filling my senses... :)
Off to discover the wonders of the Museum of Science!!
