So No one's perfect...

Well, so much for my mini resolution from the other day... #1 completely did not happen at all, but its still a goal. #2, however: I am proud to report that in addition to my... other... physical activity, that I have started playing tennis in the gorgeous weather. Its great because I can spend some time with friends, and I get to get some fresh air. I have also, as a result of this, I think, gotten on a healthier eating kick. Like last night, I ate a whole package of fresh asparagus! Also, Adolfo made the most incredible hamburgers I have EVER had. And my mom is pretty much the master of summery grill food, so that is saying something... :) #3 is also going pretty well, though I feel like the only thing in the news lately is that our economy sucks. Maybe that has a lot to do with why my news reading has started to fall off... So more progress to come, I hope.

Anyway, the big thing in my life right now is that I am, alas, moving again. I'm super excited about it though.

I first started very tentatively looking for a place at the beginning of the year because I am never in Ithaca right now, except for the weekends. While I do still love the apartment and the city, it just doesn't seem practical for me to keep my place there ands struggle just to find time to get there to feed the cats. So, I mentioned my intentions to a friend of mine who has something of an "in" in the real estate market in Owego, just to see if he knew of anything that I might be interested in. and what a good plan that turned out to be!

When I got back to PR, I stopped in his office to see him, and he asked me if I was still looking. Basically, he had found a GORGEOUS, unadvertised space that is totally within my budget, and could be somewhat flexible about the date I would move in. After my first trip, I was totally in love with it. Its a bright, big, wide open loft, with windows overlooking the Susquehanna river and front street. Right now, the space is an Art gallery, so some construction needs to be done, but that means that I am getting to make a lot of the decisions about it, which is so great! I went to see the progress yesterday, and they had finished the closet in the bedroom, which is HUUUGE! I am already fantasizing about all the shoes I will be able to have in this closet. Today was the day that they were going to try to buy the bath tub, which, at my mom's suggestion, just might end up being a European style corner tub!!! It is looking amazing, and I am SO excited about moving into this place. I actually have not felt this way about an apartment since I moved into my first place in Troy 3 years ago. It's a nice feeling.

I sign the papers tomorrow! :D I plan to take some picture next time I am there, so expect to see those soon!
