I am moving into my great new place in Owego, which makes me very happy. It hasn't been the smoothest move so far, but that's OK, I luckily have some time with this one, because my lease in Ithaca overlaps my new lease in Owego by about 2 weeks. That being said, I am obviously not trying to move everything all at once, so I kind of feel like I am living in a bowling alley right now. But, this past weekend, I got my bed and dresser and the necessary kitchen stuff moved in, so I can at least live there. It has felt a little like camping though, because the first night, I had no power in the bedroom, and no water in my shower... That got fixed last night, thank GOD, so it feels a little better now. I am starting to feel out the kitchen, and trying to figure out where everything belongs, which is definitely going to take some time, but so far I really like it. Tonight, I am planning to move the rest of the kitchen, and hopefully some more of the living room stuff, to at least have a little bit of furniture in the great room, haha! Buut, I am kind of waiting to arrange everything because:
ADOLFO IS MOVING IN WITH ME!!!! :D
This is the biggest development in my life lately, and by far the happiest. We had a talk a couple of weeks ago about how things might be moving forward for us, and we started talking about where we might like to go if we moved out of the area, and that led us to the thought that if we are considering the possibility of moving together, we ought to try living together where it is "safe" before then. So, after a few days consideration, we decided that there was no time like the present! I have to be out of my place in Ithaca the weekend of the 13th, so we decided that we would plan to have his lease through the month of June... So we will be all moved in together by the first of July! (Of course, another deciding factor for that schedule was that he was going on a cruise for the first week of June... So he is in tropical paradise right now... :P )
Another thing that has happened: I have been inspired to really start looking into Law School. Jodi and Matt are both going to UB (YAY!!), which is what started it, and then, Adolfo got into a program at CORNELL! through work, so there is further motivation. And Karyn has signed on for her Masters at RIT, too! As if that wasn't enough, my sister finally decided on an undergrad program (after years of trying to decide among many) and is pursuing her BS in psychology. And, my brother-in-law is going to Ithaca college to get started on his Education degrees in Math and Phys Ed. So, the planning is to begin now. I am looking at a part time program at Syracuse, because I want to keep my job, so full time is not going to happen. I have to do some research about when I can take the LSAT, and how ling I need to prepare for it, as well as whether i need to take a formal review class, but I think I want to get this all together now! Thanks to all of the people in my life who have inspired me to get off my ass and get started here! <3
So things are pretty exciting in my life right now! :) Transitions are always good for the soul, and it keeps you on your toes. Pictures of the new place soon, I hope!
